Eugene Tarzimanov is a Senior Vice President in the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, he is the Lead Analyst for banks in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Eugene is also responsible for coordinating banking research across Asia Pacific, and actively represents Moody’s to regulators, investors and the media on analytical and methodological views. Eugene moved to Singapore from Moody’s Moscow office, where he covered the largest banks in Russia, as well as financial institutions in Europe and the Middle East.
Before joining Moody’s in early 2009, Eugene held senior positions during his five years with Standard & Poor’s, where he was responsible for the analysis of banks in Europe and the Middle East. He has also worked at the CEO’s office of Bank VTB, where he was responsible for inhouse research.
Eugene holds an MBA in financial management from New York’s Pace University, and a BSc in international economics from Moscow’s Finance Academy.
Julia joined UOB Malaysia in 2015 with over 15 years of macro research experience. In her current role, she is responsible for UOB Global Economics and Markets Research team’s coverage of Malaysia covering economic trends, policy developments, interest rates, and currency. Julia was recognised as one of the Best Sell-Side Research Individuals at the Asset Benchmark Research Awards 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Prior to joining UOB Malaysia, Julia covered Malaysia and regional economies at an ASEAN investment bank and contributed to the research team being ranked among the top three in country research on Malaysia at the Asiamoney Brokers Poll for seven consecutive years. She has a Masters in Economics, specialising in international and monetary economics and applied econometric techniques.
Nishad Majmudar is an Assistant Vice President and Analyst within Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group. Based in Singapore, Nishad covers a portfolio of sovereign credits across Asia-Pacific and writes thematic research on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in the region.
Before joining Moody’s in 2020, Nishad was a risk officer in Wells Fargo Bank in Singapore, responsible for setting internal credit ratings for countries in APAC. Prior to that, Nishad was an economist for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where he specialized in South Asian economies.
Nishad graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in journalism and economics, and holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Master’s in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
Darina Yusof has been the Country Chief Risk Officer (CCRO) and Head of Operational Risk for Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad since 2019. A career banker, Darina has over 30 years of experience in various areas of banking from corporate finance to client coverage to risk management. Prior to this role, she was the Country Chief Risk Officer and Senior Credit Officer at Standard Chartered Bank Indonesia. Darina graduated with a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) from Oxford University and is a CFA charter-holder. She also holds a basic Cuisine Certificate from Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia.
Izazee is the Rating Portfolio Head for Financial Institutions. Izazee has more than 23 years of experience in the risk analysis of financial institutions, Islamic finance, ratings, debt securities and corporate banking. Prior to joining MARC, he was the General Manager of the Insurance, Risk Assessment and Monitoring division of Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia where he was responsible for the analysis and monitoring of member institutions’ risk levels as well as the premium and levy collection function. He has also held managerial roles at RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers Berhad (now known as RHB Investment Bank Berhad) and Rating Agency Malaysia Berhad. Izazee holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia.

Tengfu Li is an Assistant Vice President – Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group.
Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the credit ratings of financial institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia. Prior to Moody’s, Tengfu worked at OCBC Bank, where he developed credit risk models.
Tengfu holds a MSc in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, and a BEng in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
CJ Wong is an Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group.
Based in Singapore, CJ covers a portfolio of banks and non-bank financial institutions in Bangladesh, Malaysia and Vietnam
Prior to joining Moody’s, CJ worked as a research analyst in the Dividend Forecasting team at IHS Markit, where he was responsible for providing estimates on financial institutions and corporates in Australia and Singapore.
CJ holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Sydney, majoring in Finance and Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder.
