Lan Wang is a lead analyst in the Financial Institutions Group based in Hong Kong. She covers a portfolio of Chinese non-bank financial institutions including various securities industry participants, finance companies and asset managers.
Lan joined Moody’s in September 2014 as an Associate Analyst in Toronto covering Canadian financial institutions including banks, insurance companies and pension funds. She transferred to Moody’s New York office in 2016 and subsequently worked on US securities firms, global investment banks and finance companies before transferring to Hong Kong in February 2019.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Lan worked in the economics research department at the Royal Bank of Canada where she provided analysis for the Canadian housing market and provincial economies.
Lan holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and a BA in economics from the University of Guelph, Canada. Lan is also a CFA charterholder.
