Graeme Knowd is a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group based in Singapore. He manages a team of analysts in Japan and Singapore.The team has responsibility for rating financial institutions, including banks, securities firms and other non-bank financial institutions in North Asia (ex-Greater China) , South and South East Asia. Graeme has analyzed financial institutions globally for more than 20 years.
Before joining Moody’s, Graeme worked as a sell-side equity analyst at CLSA and Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, Graeme worked for The Bank for International Settlements, where he was involved in risk management and regularly conducted training for central banks throughout the world, particularly in Latin America. He has also worked for other leading financial institutions, such as UBS and S&P, and began his career at the Bank of England. He has worked in London, Switzerland, Tokyo and Singapore.
Graeme has Master’s degrees from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and Kobe University, where he studied Economics.
Eugene Tarzimanov is a Vice President–Senior Credit Officer for the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, he is the Lead Analyst for banks in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.Eugene is also responsible for coordinating banking research across Asia Pacific,and actively represents Moody’s to regulators, investors and the media on analytical and methodological views.Eugene moved to Singapore from Moody’s Moscow office, where he covered the argest banks in Russia, as well as financial institutions in Europe and the Middle East.
Before joining Moody’s in early 2009, Eugene held senior positions during his five years with Standard & Poor’s, where he was responsible for the analysis of banks in Europe and the Middle East.He has also worked at the CEO’s office of Bank VTB, where he was responsible for inhouse research.
Eugene holds an MBA in financial management from New York’s Pace University,and a BSc in international economics from Moscow’s Finance Academy.
Louise joined Moody’s in November 2016 and is the lead analyst for most large Nordic banks.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Louise spent nine years at Standard & Poor’s. She initially worked as a senior credit analyst in the Sovereign and International Public Finance Group, and thereafter in the Financial Institutions Group - during the global financial crisis. The last 4 ½ years at S&P, Louise headed up the rating agency’s Banking Industry Country Risk Assessments (BICRAs), the key element of bank ratings, globally.
Prior to working at Standard & Poor’s, Louise spent ten years at the European Commission in Brussels, primarily working with macroeconomic forecasts and analysis at the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN), and a couple of years working with EU affairs at the Swedish Ministry of Finance and Central Bank. Louise holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and Economics from Uppsala University.
Srikanth Vadlamani is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer for the Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Singapore, he is primarily responsible for the credit ratings of banks and finance companies in India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
Prior to joining Moody’s, he was a Director in Daiwa Securities’ research department in Singapore, where he was responsible for the coverage of banks in the ASEAN region. He has also worked for other investment banks, including J.P. Morgan, Lehman Brothers and Nomura, where he covered banks and other financial institutions in India, Southeast Asia and emerging Europe.
Srikanth holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, majoring in Finance and Economics.
Yulia Wan is a Vice President, Senior Analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group in Asia. Based in Shanghai, she is responsible for a portfolio of banks in Mainland China.
Yulia has over 10 years’ experience in researching and analyzing Chinese financial institutions, including through roles at Accenture Co, Ltd in Shanghai, Xinhua Finance and Royal Bank of Canada.
Yulia got Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2003. She holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, and a BA and MA from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing.
