Sean Marion heads up Moody’s EMEA Structured Finance Group, based in London. He is responsible for overseeing both primary issuance and surveillance functions for Consumer Assets, Corporate Assets and Covered Bonds, with teams based in London, Frankfurt, Paris, Madrid and Milan.
Prior to joining the Structured Finance Group he was a London-based Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group, responsible for ratings coverage in the Nordics, Baltics, South-Eastern Europe and emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa.
Before relocating to London in 2011, Mr. Marion held various positions of progressive responsibility in Moody’s, including working in the firm’s offices in Mexico City and Toronto. Before joining Moody’s, Mr. Marion worked for The Economist Intelligence Unit, conducting research on macroeconomic and country risk. Mr. Marion holds graduate degrees in economics from the Université Paris I (Sorbonne) and the London School of Economics. He also holds an undergraduate degree from Bishop’s University, Canada. Mr. Marion is fluent in French and Spanish.
Nazmeera is Head of SA Investments at Ninety One. She works closely with the global and SA capability heads to ensure that we continue to have competitive investment performance and adding further depth and diversity to our Cape Town based investment teams. Prior to this she was co-head of SA & Africa Fixed Income. Nazmeera has covered the macro-economy in South Africa and other emerging markets since 2000. She is passionate about making financial markets work to support development. Her remit includes the Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund, which provides debt financing for infrastructure projects across Africa.
She joined the firm in 2013 from Macquarie First South where she was Head of Macro Strategy. She began her career as an economist at Merrill Lynch in South Africa and London.
Nazmeera graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Business Science degree and is also a CFA® Charterholder.
Mauro Crisafulli is Managing Director for Moody’s and Country Manager for Italy. He oversees Moody’s Investors Service operations in Italy with responsibility for directing and coordinating the company’s activities.
Mauro is also responsible for sub-sovereign credits in the EMEA region. In this capacity he coordinates a group of 20 analysts and has overall responsibilities for ratings and research on regional and local governments and related entities, including transit, water, infrastructure companies, and housing associations. In his role he chairs rating committees, helps maintain the quality of ratings, and assures analytical leadership on publications.
Prior to assuming these positions, Mauro served as Group Credit Officer for the sub-sovereign group with the responsibility of ensuring the consistency of global ratings and implementing analytical initiatives worldwide. He was also a member of Moody's Public Sector Credit Committee, in charge of reviewing public sector rating methodologies. He joined Moody’s in 2004.
Mauro has a wide knowledge in credit risk analysis, with more than 25 years of experience in the public sector rating business, including 8 years in Fitch Ratings where he served as director of the public sector team. Prior to that he worked as a Financial Analyst for the City of Milan and for various industrial and service companies. Mauro holds an Economics and Business Degree from the University of Bocconi in Milan.
Joanna Fic is a Senior Vice President in Moody’s EMEA Infrastructure Finance team, based in London. She is currently responsible for a portfolio of utilities and transport infrastructure companies in the United Kingdom and Africa, in addition to certain transport infrastructure companies in Norway and Turkey. With extensive credit experience across both the utility and infrastructure sectors, Joanna has a deep understanding of both conventional and complex structured financing arrangements.
Over the course of her career at Moody’s, Joanna has written extensively on transport infrastructure credit, covering airports, ports and toll roads. She has contributed to the development of a number of transport infrastructure methodologies and was the author of Moody’s Rating Methodology for Privately Managed Toll Roads, published in October 2017. Joanna has also published widely on European utilities, including in Germany, United Kingdom and Central and Eastern Europe. A highly regarded analyst and respected commentator, Joanna is a frequent speaker at conferences, investor roundtables and other events.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2007, Joanna was a credit risk manager at Citigroup in Warsaw, where she was responsible for a diversified portfolio of corporates. Joanna holds a master’s degree in Finance and Banking from Warsaw School of Economics.
In his capacity as an Associate Lead Analyst, Daniel is responsible for the sub-sovereign portfolio which includes metropolitan municipalities and government related issuers based in South Africa. Since joining Moody’s in 2007, Daniel has produced a number of research reports in the sector and actively participates in a number of outreach activities including presenting at various investors’ conferences.
Daniel has acquired extensive experience in the credit analysis of sub-national issuers. Prior to joining Moody’s, he worked for the local rating agency CA-Ratings for 7 years where he was responsible for updating financial analysis of approximately 160 municipalities. In addition, he was fully responsible for production and publication of the municipal assessment reports.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of South Africa and a Diploma in Financial Management from Damelin Business College.
Lucie is the lead analyst for several Sub-Saharan African sovereigns and supranational issuers and is a senior member of Moody’s Africa Sovereign Ratings team. Prior to January 2015, she covered a variety of advanced and emerging market European sovereign credits, having joined the Sovereign Risk Group in early 2011 from Moody’s Sub-Sovereign Group.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2007, Lucie spent two years at the French Ministry of Finance in the Forecast division, responsible for projections and analyses of France’s government finances.
Lucie holds a postgraduate degree in Probability and Statistics from a French Engineering School (ENSAI) and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University in Paris.

He has authored numerous articles covering the African and Balkan banking systems and is a regular speaker at regional conferences.
