Helen Rider is General Manager, Head of Sales for Europe & Africa at Moody’s Analytics, leading sales teams representing MA products and services and customer relationships across the region.
Helen is a proven leader with over 20 years of experience in the financial markets, building high-performing teams and developing commercial strategies to drive growth and help customers make better business decisions.
Until February 2017, Helen was Managing Director, Head of Sales for Moody’s Analytics Enterprise Risk Solutions, with a focus on expanding the MA customer footprint across the EMEA region. Since joining Moody’s Investors Service in 1999, Helen has held a number of key sales and sales leadership positions across a wide range of teams. She has been instrumental to the EMEA region’s impressive growth story.
Since 2007, Helen has served as a voluntary board member for The Lily Foundation, a UK charity dedicated to fighting mitochondrial disease by helping families and funding medical research for treatments and to ultimately find a cure.
Helen holds a BA Hons in Modern Languages from The University of Sheffield. She speaks French, German, and conversational Spanish.
Moorad Choudhry is an independent non-executive director at Recognise Bank Limited in London, a non-executive director at the Loughborough Building Society and a non-executive director at Wandle Housing Association. He is Honorary Professor at University of Kent Business School. He was latterly Treasurer, Corporate Banking Division at The Royal Bank of Scotland.
Moorad is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, a Fellow of the London Institute of Banking and Finance, a Fellow of the Global Association of Risk Professionals, a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of International Bankers. He is author of The Principles of Banking (John Wiley & Sons 2012, 2022).

Dr. Gaurav Ganguly is the Chief European Economist and Head of the Climate Change Group at Moodys Analytics. Gaurav is an expert on a number of international economies having spent several years analysing and commenting on countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Gaurav has previously worked in financial services, consulting and audit. He was a research fellow at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change at Imperial College in London, where he developed a framework for using climate scenarios within financial institutions. He currently teaches Environmental Economics at Imperial College. He did his PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford.

George's career ranges over 35 years in a number of global financial institutions in many countries in Europe, Asia & Africa. He is a seasoned Risk professional and has earned his expertise at Citibank, Deutsche, GE Capital, Standard Chartered, Barclays and Danske Bank. Operated at a "C" level for over 20 years. His last executive role was the Group CRO (interim) at Danske. He is now active in risk advisory and NED opportunities.
George holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Georgia and a BSc in Economics & Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University in the USA.
Gernot is Head of Group Corporate Credit Analysis in Raiffeisenbank International Group. Within his almost 15 years experience in banking, he took over responsibilities in various risk functions (Resolution & Recovery Planning, Stresstesting, ICAAP, Rating Services). From 2021 onwards he got the responsibility for the development of an internal ESG Scoring Model for Corporates – the roll-out was done in October 2022 finally, leading to new challenges and tasks for his area.
Hanna Sarraf is a senior risk management executive, with over twenty five years’ experience in developing and implementing risk and regulatory management frameworks that deliver effective results in the financial services industry. He is currently the Chief Risk Strategy Officer at Starling Bank and was previously the Group Chief Risk Officer at Bankmed, a regional corporate, retail and private banking organisation with operations across the EMEA region. Prior to joining Bankmed, Hanna was the Group Executive, Head of Risk Strategy at Bank of Ireland and previously held senior risk and regulatory management consulting roles at Ernst & Young, KPMG and Accenture in the UK and globally.
Hanna’s international industry and client consulting experience spans a wide range of risk and regulatory management roles both at the strategic and execution levels gained with leading financial services organisations across all major industry segments in a wide number of geographic markets.
He holds a Specialised Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from the École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) and an MSc in Finance from Dauphine University in France. He has authored many articles on financial risk management and is a frequent speaker at leading UK and international conferences.
Susan Urkevich is Managing Director, Head of Sustainability, Wholesale Credit & Lending at HSBC where she is responsible for the development and execution of the sustainability strategy for credit and lending products. Susan also oversees embedding of a climate risk framework within the business and delivery of future state lending infrastructure to support ESG product development and controls.
Susan is a seasoned banking executive with over 20 years diverse geographic experience including working in New York, Hong Kong and London. She is a subject matter expert in credit and lending, capital models and project, export and infrastructure finance. Susan has proven success delivering large scale regulatory change programmes within Wholesale at HSBC including Basel III Reforms, Libor Transition and the redevelopment of IRB models.
Antonios is a Senior Director in the Banking strategy group, focusing on market development for banking solutions. Previously with the Moody’s Analytics EMEA advisory team, he has led engagements on IFRS9 provisioning, portfolio modelling and stress testing among others.
Prior to joining Moody’s he was helping clients improve and develop their risk and capital management capabilities as part of the EY Financial Services advisory practice in the UK, after a number of years in quantitative and analytics leadership roles in banking.
Antonios holds a Masters in Economics and Finance with focus in Econometrics from Warwick Business School and an Economics honours degree from Bradford University.
Senior partner in Financial Services, McKinsey Sustainability, and Risk & Resilience Practices; heads McKinsey Sustainability’s financial work, and was involved in operational risk and compliance for digital and analytics.
Alexis is a Director in the Moody’s Analytics Portfolio Product Management team.
With a technical post degree in economics from the University of Panthéon-Assas in Paris, Alexis has 15+ years’ experience in risk management and valuation, having been working in sales, pre-sales, product, project management & strategy roles across various environments (banks, consultancy and software houses).
Prior to his current role at Moody’s Analytics, Alexis was leading sales and pre-sales for the French speaking region at Numerix, addressing derivatives pricing, market & counterparty risks as well as Insurance ALM risks solutions spanning both sell and buy side segments. In addition to this responsibility, Alexis also oversaw regulation topics (Basel III, FRTB, EMIR, Solvency 2), working closely with Quantitative Research and Product Management teams in order to foster both development and new generation of the Numerix Solutions. Previously and in particular, Alexis spent 7 years as a Portfolio Management & Valuation Sales Specialist at Moody’s Analytics, focusing on the Portfolio IP content across the EMEA Region. Alexis also worked at various consultancy and software companies, implementing and designing risk solutions for several major financial institutions.
Jared focusses on enterprise risk and finance transformation for large banking organisations, with a particular emphasis on credit risk and impairment management, risk governance, stress testing and capital management, and risk data and reporting.
Simon Ainsworth, who is based in London, is an Associate Managing Director responsible for the analytical teams maintaining ratings on Nordic and Baltic banks and on a range of European insurance companies.
Simon previously served as a Group Credit Officer. In that role he carried responsibility for monitoring ratings quality as well as assisting in the development and implementation of rating methodologies and practices applied to rated financial institutions within the EMEA region.
Simon joined Moody’s in March 2014 following sixteen years at the Bank of England.
At the Bank, he worked in a variety of roles primarily in its financial markets and banking operation divisions; as well as working on a variety of financial risk and crisis related issues. This included the resolution of failed banks, as well as responsibility for the risk management framework applied to collateral accepted in the Bank’s sterling market operations.Simon graduated from the University of Durham in 1998, having studied Economics and Politics. He is based in London

Dr. Christine Bailey is Senior Director and Head of KYC Marketing in Europe and Africa, for Moody’s Analytics. She was previously CMO of PassFort, a SaaS RegTech provider whose platform automates anti-financial crime and compliance processes. PassFort was acquired by Moody’s Analytics in Dec 2021.
Christine has spent her career in B2B Tech/FinTech marketing roles, leading European marketing functions for Hewlett-Packard and Cisco Systems as well as for pre-IPO companies.
Prior to joining PassFort she was Managing Director, SMB UK, at Valitor, a European payment solutions company.
A respected thought-leader and public speaker with two TEDx Talks, Christine appeared in Onalytica’s ‘Who’s Who in FinTech’ guide. She is a published author of “Customer Insight Strategies: How to understand your audience and create remarkable marketing” and contributing author of The PAYTECH book. She has a doctorate (DBA) in customer insight and is on the advisory board of EWPN (European Women in Payments Network).

Dr. Petr Zemcik is a Senior Director at the Moody’s Analytics London office who supervises a focused applied research team of risk modelers and data scientists located in the UK, the US, Czechia, and UAE. Petr leverages on his extensive experience as an engagement lead for internal and external projects to design and validate retail and corporate PD/LGD/EAD credit risk models for IFRS 9, A-IRB, and stress testing, as well as macroeconomic country and regional models for economic forecasting. His team currently concentrates on linking climate change scenarios to credit risk and on embedding macroeconomic scenarios across credit risk models, while also working on projects and products related to regulatory compliance for stress testing & ICAAP and CECL & IFRS 9. The team con tributes to the support of the following Moody’s credit risk products and models: Corporate Expected Default Frequency (EDF) for Risk Calc and Credit Edge; Credit Transition Model (CTM) & Moody’s Market Implied Ratings (MIR); and PD/Prepayment/LGD/EAD for retail portfolios in the Portfolio Analyzer (PA) platform. Petr previously worked at CERGE-EI, a joint workplace of the Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education of Charles University in Prague and the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, and at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He holds a PhD and an MA in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and an MSc in Econometrics and Operations Research from the University of Economics in Prague.
Steve Budd is the COO of the Investec Asset Finance Group of companies. He previously held the role of MLRO for the business.
Steve joined Investec in 2006 to set up Investec Asset Finance and is an SMR for the business and board director.
Prior to this, he was a Director of BOSEF (Bank of Scotland Equipment Finance Ltd)
Clarisse has over 15 years of experience leading complex regulatory change project in the financial services industry, risk management and in more recent years has specialised in helping clients fight financial crime across various industries subjected to Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing regulations. The real-life implications of such crimes make her passionate about empowering staff and clients to combat these crimes effectively.

Chor is a noted expert in client relationship management with more than 16 years of experience working across international financial services. With his extensive knowledge of client lifecycle management (CLM), regulatory & KYC remediation and regulatory classification, Chor has been instrumental in the rollout of major programs including CLM Transformation, Onboarding Digital journey and other regulatory remediation i.e. Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and FATCA/CRS.
Before joining Moody’s Analytics, Chor worked for global organizations including JPMorgan, BNP Paribas, ICBC Standard Bank, and Investec Bank - driving strategic activity to deliver efficiency through people strategies, target operating models, location strategies, and large-scale digital transformation.

With experience across corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainable finance, climate risk and ESG regulation, Pelletier is responsible for advancing Moody’s ESG & Climate solutions according to the individual needs of financial institutions – and supporting clients to integrate ESG and Climate risk monitoring across their value chain.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2022, Pelletier oversaw the implementation of CSR policies at BNP Paribas’ Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) arm, having designed the bank’s Sustainable Finance program that promoted sustainability principles across every operational unit. Her pioneering team led the bank’s debut green bond issuance and sustainability-linked loan.
In addition to roles with Fortis Bank, Pelletier has also held roles in asset management where she worked on launching one of the world’s first index-linked green bonds supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy. Her career began at Société Générale within its Global Markets division.
Pelletier is a trained economist with a PhD from Dauphine University in Paris.
Gustavo is a Senior Director at the Moody’s Analytics Edinburgh office who manages of a global team of quantitative analysts and data scientists. He is responsible for the development of Moody’s Integrated Risk Assessment analytics covering a variety of risks such as Credit, Market, Climate & ESG, Cyber, KYC/S, etc. Gustavo has a wide industry experience across Tier 1 financial (Credit Suisse and Barclays) and consultancy (KPMG) firms. More recently Gustavo served as the Global Head of Economic Capital Analytics at HSBC with responsibility over all the methodologies used to assess EC across Credit, Counterparty Credit and Market risk portfolios. Gustavo holds a Ph.D. from Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands and a Licentiate degree in Theoretical Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in Spain.
Hera is a Director, Industry Practice Lead, Financial Crime Compliance for the UK & Nordics, focusing on our Sanctions solutions. Hera has extensive experience in Sanctions, AML, and Financial Crime. She has built global sanctions programs and implemented Sanctions and PEP screening and KYC verification systems.
Before joining Moody’s, Hera worked at Danske Bank, where she helped enhance the Bank’s sanctions processes and managed external commitments to global regulators. Prior to Danske Bank, she worked in Los Angeles, heading the Global Sanctions Program at AFEX - a global payments company, and East West Bank. In her early career, she worked as a litigation lawyer, and is a licensed attorney in California and the Philippines. She is a Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) a Certified Global Sanctions Specialist (CGSS) and a Certified Sanctions Specialist (CSS). She also has Diploma in Governance, Risk & Compliance from the International Compliance Association (ICA) and helped draft sanctions certifications for ACSS and ACAMS.
As a Banking Industry Practice Lead for Europe and Africa, Luis listens to the unique needs of banking customers. Luis believes that a close working relationship is the best way to improve performance and efficiency for Moody’s customers continually.
Luis brings 22 years of expertise in the financial services and technology industries, working with people and systems to solve complex business problems. His professional experience accounts for global, regional, and local roles dealing with IFRS17, IFRS9/CECL, Stress Testing, Supervisory Reporting, Capital Planning and Management, Financial Consolidation, Planning and Budgeting, Activity-Based Costing, Customer Intelligence, Marketing Automation and Optimization
André leads EY's Credit and Climate Change Risk team, with a particular focus on quantitative modelling and model risk management, across IRB, IFRS 9, Stress Testing and Climate Change - including scenario analysis and ESG Ratings.

Nelson Almeida is a director product specialist at Moody’s Analytics. Nelson specialises in a diverse number of products, including the Enterprise Risk Management Solutions within the Moody’s Analytics suite of products. He is active within a diverse geographic area, covering the larger EMEA region, including developing and developed areas.He joined Moody’s Analytics in 2009, coming from a background within large CRM and ERP product implementation roles, including implementation consultant, Implementation team Manager and Principle Consultant. This covered a wide range of organisations from FTSE 100 and Dow Jones listed corporations to smaller local organisations.He holds a B Comm from RAU (South Africa), ACCA course accreditation, and a variety of IT and product qualifications to support his specialities, such Microsoft SQL administration.
Simon is the Global Head of CLM at Commerzbank London managing onboarding, reviews, transaction monitoring as well as CLM Transformation Programme.
Prior to Commerzbank, Simon brings more then 24yrs of experience in Financial Services holding several senior roles across Nomura, RBC, Abn Amro & RBS.
My name is Phalé McMillan. I am Vietnamese/Dutch and am married and have 4 lovely children, 2 girls Sienna (15) and Isla (14) and twin boys Roman and Cameron (8 years old). I grew up in the Netherlands and studied Corporate Law in Leiden. I started my career as a management Trainee with ABN AMRO Bank NV in Amsterdam. After having worked for 5 years for ABN AMRO in the legal and compliance department I relocated to Hong Kong joining Barclays Capital.
Having lived and worked for 2 years in Hong Kong I moved to Dubai where I joined the Dubai Financial Services Regulator. After 4.5 years I have moved to Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) in Dubai to head the Compliance team in the DIFC. In 2012 I moved back to Hong Kong with SCB. In 2015 we moved back to London with the family where I joined HSBC Bank as the Global Head of AML Advisory and Policy in 2016 until end of 2018. In 2019 I joined Barclays as the Head of Financial Crime for Private Bank and Overseas Business. Currently I am working for Natwest Group as Head Financial Crime Risk Management and Deputy Group Chief Financial Crime Risk Officer.
Jason Boud is the Co-Founder and CEO of RegTech Associates, a global research company who use their analysis to provide strategic insight and advice to their clients. They help their technology clients grow and their regulated firm clients manage compliance more effectively. RegTech Associates have now established the largest research database of RegTech products, boasting 1300+ solutions and a global community with a vision to bring all sides of the RegTech market together.
Jason has extensive experience working at a senior level in technology for JP Morgan and Credit Suisse, has worked in corporate innovation, and has 10 years of experience working with early-stage and growth startups as either CEO, COO or Co-Founder. In 2014, he Co-Founded Beyond Enterprise, a company that provides risk and compliance advisory services to financial institutions.
In 2013, Jason embarked on becoming an investor in early-stage startups and continues to be an active advisor to several FinTech and RegTech companies. Jason is a mentor and investor on the FinTech Innovation Lab (Accenture) programme.
Jason is always advocating for the growth of the global RegTech industry by speaking at events, writing about the market and investing in early-stage startups.
Rob is the co-founder and CEO of FINTRAIL, a global financial crime compliance consultancy with a focus on clients operating across innovative financial services. He has spent the last 20+ years working in risk management across the public sector, international banking and major events. He is a regular speaker at industry events, co-authoring the ACAMS AML for FinTechs certificate and Certified AML FinTech Compliance Associate (CAFCA) qualification.
Derek Vadala serves as the Chief Risk Officer at BitSight and oversees its risk division. In thisrole, he leads teams focused on the company’s risk methodologies and products that enablesecurity and business leaders to better communicate with each other and with boards ofdirectors by translating cyber risk into financial terms. He also oversees the company’sinformation technology and security. He has over 25 years of experience in information securitymanagement.
Before joining BitSight, Derek was the CEO and founder of VisibleRisk, a joint venture betweenMoody’s Corporation and Team8, which was acquired by BitSight in 2021. Prior to that, Derekwas the global head of cyber risk for Moody’s Investors Service, responsible for developingcapabilities for evaluating cyber risk and incorporating those capabilities into credit analysis. Healso previously served as the chief information security officer for Moody’s Corporation, wherehe was responsible for global information risk and security across Moody’s businessesworldwide.
Masha leads a team of subject matter experts responsible for solution structuring for allowance calculation, stress testing, capital planning, credit risk management, and insurance risk management. Her primary focus is on banks, credit unions, and insurance companies.
Masha spent over 16 years in the financial industry in the U.S. in various roles, including audit, technical accounting policy, financial reporting. Earlier in her career, Ms.Muzyka led the solution consulting team at SS&C Primatics and focused on technical accounting policy at Freddie Mac and FHLB OF. Masha holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the Moscow State University; is a CPA licensed in VA, and is a member of AICPA.
