Sally Yim is a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong SAR, China, Sally is the Head of APAC Financial Institutions, responsible for Moody’s analytical teams covering ratings and research on APAC banks, insurance companies, and non-bank financial institutions such as securities and leasing companies. She is also a co-head of Moody’s Global Banking and Global Insurance & Asset Management rating franchises. In addition, Sally leads the Global Financial Institutions Group’s Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) efforts.
Sally joined Moody’s in February 2005 as an Associate Analyst in New York, covering property & casualty insurers. She transferred to Hong Kong in 2006 and completed a short stint in the Corporate Finance Group, supporting analysts in the
oil & gas, petrochemical and steel sectors. Sally rejoined the Financial Institutions Group as an Analyst in January 2007. Since then, Sally has covered various Asian financial institutions, including insurance companies, banks and securities firms and subsequently, became a manager overseeing various teams covering the ratings and research of Greater China and Korean financial institutions.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Sally worked as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP in New York, specializing in private and public insurers. She also worked at Ernst & Young’s National Professional Practice, where she focused on technical accounting research, while assisting in accounting consultations.
Sally holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accounting from the University of Michigan. She is a CFA charterholder and also a Certified Public Accountant.

Andrew is a Senior Director of the Enterprise Risk Solutions business in the Moody’s Analytics Hong Kong office. He has worked for over 20 years assisting customers in the application of enterprise software solutions. Andrew focuses on a variety of client-focused work including the development of our IFRS 17 proposition, and direct oversight of implementation projects. In this role he collaborates with advisory services, research, product, sales, and implementation services teams to deliver tailored solutions for insurers.
Andrew has over 10 years’ experience in risk management for pensions, banks, asset managers, and insurers. Before joining Moody’s Analytics, he worked at Markit/QuIC, Algorithmics, Mercer, and RBC. Andrew is a CFA Charterholder, and holds a variety of designations including the FRM, PRM, and CAIA.

Lee Yuan Siong became Group Chief Executive and President of AIA Group on 1 June 2020.
Prior to joining AIA, he was an executive director of Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. from June 2013, and served as the company's co-CEO and Chief Insurance Business Officer. During his more than 15 years with Ping An, he held several senior management positions including Chairman and CEO of Ping An Life.
Before that he has held a number of senior leadership positions with Prudential plc of the United Kingdom, including President of CITIC-Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, a life insurance joint venture in Mainland China, and he has significant experience across a number of other Asian markets. He began his career at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Lee Yuan Siong has more than 30 years of experience in Asian insurance, having spent his entire professional career in the industry. He served as an Infantry Company Commander in the Singapore Armed Forces from 1983 to 1986.
Lee Yuan Siong is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (US) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (US). He serves as board of trustees of the Wealth Management Institute. He holds a Master of Finance degree from the University of Cambridge (1993) and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (1989).
He has received multiple awards and honors for his contributions to the development of the Chinese insurance industry, including the prestigious Chinese Government Friendship Award and recognition as one of the 40 Most Influential Foreign Experts in 40 Years of China’s Reform and Opening-up.
Qian Zhu is a Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Financial Institutions Group in Shanghai, where she covers a portfolio of Asian insurance companies.
Qian transferred to Shanghai in February 2016 after spending over 10 years in Moody’s Structured Finance Group in both New York and London, covering various securitization products, including catastrophe bonds. In addition, Qian was seconded to CCXI, Moody’s joint venture company in China, as Chief Technical Advisor in CCXI’s Structured Finance Department from February to June 2014.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Qian worked as a senior actuarial analyst with Towers Watson in New York, specializing in pension and retirement medical plan valuation.
Qian received her Bachelor of Economics and Master of Operations Management from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University. She holds both a CFA charter and an ASA designation.
Frank Yuen is a Vice President–Senior Analyst with Moody’s Investors Service’s Financial Institutions Group. Based in Hong Kong, he covers a portfolio of insurers in Hong Kong, China and other parts of Asia Pacific.
Before joining Moody’s, Frank was an Equity Research Analyst, covering regional banks and insurers at BNP Paribas and Standard Chartered. In addition, Frank has worked as a management trainee and actuarial intern at a global bank and also an insurance company.
Frank graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Actuarial Science, and is a CFA and FRM charterholder
Kelvin Kwok is an AVP-Analyst with the Financial Institution Group. Based in Hong Kong, he covers insurance companies in the Asia Pacific region.
Before joining Moody’s, Kelvin worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a senior audit associate covering life and general insurance firms.
Kelvin holds a bachelor’s in Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst.
Young Kim is a Sustainable Finance Analyst with Moody’s Investors Service. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for providing second party opinions to APAC issuers as well as providing market research and outreach on sustainable finance themes. Previous to this role, he was lead analyst with Moody’s Financial Institutions Group, responsible for portfolio of insurance, securities, and other non-bank financial institutions in Korea.
Before joining Moody’s, Young Kim worked for International Monetary Fund in Washington D.C., as a research officer in Fiscal Affairs Department, analyzing country risk and public finance issues. He has also worked in Korea for Sae-A Trading Co., Ltd in finance & accounting division and Republic of Korea Navy as a translator officer.
Young Kim holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University, the School of Advanced International Studies where he focused his studies in energy, resource, and environment program and international economics. Young is certified in ESG Investing through the CFA Institute.
Katrina Ell is a Director-Economic Research in the Sydney office of Moody’s Analytics. Katrina manages the Asia-Pacific edition of Economy.com and is responsible for the research, analysis and forecasting of economies throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on Australia and New Zealand. Katrina is regularly quoted by international media such as CNBC, Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Sky News. She previously worked as an analyst at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority. Katrina received her bachelor’s degree in economics (honours) from Macquarie University and is currently completing her Masters in Applied Economics at Macquarie University.

Andrew is a Senior Director of the Enterprise Risk Solutions business in the Moody’s Analytics Hong Kong office. He has worked for over 20 years assisting customers in the application of enterprise software solutions. Andrew focuses on a variety of client-focused work including the development of our IFRS 17 proposition, and direct oversight of implementation projects. In this role he collaborates with advisory services, research, product, sales, and implementation services teams to deliver tailored solutions for insurers.
Andrew has over 10 years’ experience in risk management for pensions, banks, asset managers, and insurers. Before joining Moody’s Analytics, he worked at Markit/QuIC, Algorithmics, Mercer, and RBC. Andrew is a CFA Charterholder, and holds a variety of designations including the FRM, PRM, and CAIA.
Lee Yuan Siong became Group Chief Executive and President of AIA Group on 1 June 2020.
Prior to joining AIA, he was an executive director of Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. from June 2013, and served as the company's co-CEO and Chief Insurance Business Officer. During his more than 15 years with Ping An, he held several senior management positions including Chairman and CEO of Ping An Life.
Before that he has held a number of senior leadership positions with Prudential plc of the United Kingdom, including President of CITIC-Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, a life insurance joint venture in Mainland China, and he has significant experience across a number of other Asian markets. He began his career at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Lee Yuan Siong has more than 30 years of experience in Asian insurance, having spent his entire professional career in the industry. He served as an Infantry Company Commander in the Singapore Armed Forces from 1983 to 1986.

Qian Zhu is a Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Financial Institutions Group in Shanghai, where she covers a portfolio of Asian insurance companies.
Qian transferred to Shanghai in February 2016 after spending over 10 years in Moody’s Structured Finance Group in both New York and London, covering various securitization products, including catastrophe bonds. In addition, Qian was seconded to CCXI, Moody’s joint venture company in China, as Chief Technical Advisor in CCXI’s Structured Finance Department from February to June 2014.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Qian worked as a senior actuarial analyst with Towers Watson in New York, specializing in pension and retirement medical plan valuation.

Young Kim is a Sustainable Finance Analyst with Moody’s Investors Service. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for providing second party opinions to APAC issuers as well as providing market research and outreach on sustainable finance themes. Katrina Ell is a Director-Economic Research in the Sydney office of Moody’s Analytics. Katrina manages the Asia-Pacific edition of Economy.com and is responsible for the research, analysis and forecasting of economies throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on Australia and New Zealand. Katrina is regularly quoted by international media such as CNBC, Bloomberg, the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times and Sky News. She previously worked as an analyst at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority. Katrina received her bachelor’s degree in economics (honours) from Macquarie University and is currently completing her Masters in Applied Economics at Macquarie University.
