Marie Diron heads the Sovereign Risk Group for Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, and Sub-Sovereign Risk Group for Asia Pacific and EMEA. She is responsible for analytical teams covering more than 70 sovereign ratings, 15 Multilateral Development Banks and around 400 sub-sovereign ratings in about 30 countries. Marie is also a project owner of Moody’s Investors Service’s ESG scores, which were launched in early 2021.
Marie has worked as Moody’s lead sovereign analyst for a number of Asia Pacific credits, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Sri Lanka and Australia. Marie has also worked in Moody’s Credit Policy, leading a number of macroeconomic analyses, including our regular Global Macro Outlook and other credit research work. Marie was previously Director at Oxford Economics, leading the company’s forecasting and scenario analysis service to financial sector and corporate clients, after a number of years at the European Central Bank and Brevan Howard LLP. Marie received a MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and graduated from the Ecole Centrale Paris.
Zoe is a VP/Senior Analyst in Moody’s Sub-Sovereign Group and holds lead analytical responsibility for ratings on a portfolio of local authorities, housing associations and other government-related issuers in the UK. Prior to joining Moody’s, Zoe worked as an Associate Director at Arup in London, undertaking a range of economic and financial consultancy projects with public and private sector organisations in the UK and internationally. Zoe holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Birmingham, an MPA in Public Economics and Policy from the London School of Economics and is an Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Nye Cominetti is a Senior Economist at Resolution Foundation, a think tank dedicated to improving living standards for low-to-middle income households. Nye undertakes research on low pay and the labour market, and is responsible for calculating the real Living Wage. He has previously worked in local government and in other think tanks.
Jonathan is a qualified chartered accountant and corporate treasurer with a wealth of financing, structuring and strategy experience across the infrastructure, housing & real estate sectors. After qualifying at EY, he worked at Partnerships UK on public infrastructure projects, PwC in the corporate finance team, was for three year the corporate finance director at Genesis Housing Association, and was a Director at M&G Real Estate before joining Centrus in 2014 where is a Managing Director working across a range of clients including advising on mergers and restructures. Jonathan has non-executive experience including at Family Mosaic and is presently a director of a national leisure charity.
Allen Twyning, CFA is Head of Affordable Housing, at Pension Insurance Corporation. He joined the firm in 2011 and was responsible for the direct debt team which has originated over £12bn during his time in charge. Allen has recently taken up a new role to focus on the deployment of equity and debt to facilitate investment in the Affordable Housing sector. Prior to PIC, Allen managed a corporate bond portfolio at Chubb Insurance, worked as an analyst covering ABS at Aviva Investors and began his career at Fitch Ratings in the Structured Finance team. Allen has an MSc in Economics and Economic History from the LSE and a First Class degree in Economics from Lancaster University.
Maÿlis Chapellier is a AVP-Analyst at Moody’s Ratings, in the EMEA sub-sovereign team. She is responsible for the credit risk analysis of UK housing associations (as well as UK public universities) since 2021. Maÿlis joined Moody’s in 2017, firstly supporting lead analysts working on French public entities (housing associations, hospitals and regional and local governments) before transitioning to a UK-focused portfolio in 2019. Before joining Moody's, she built her finance expertise in a consulting firm, working on projects with Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (State-owned bank, main public lender for French housing associations).
Maÿlis holds a master’s degree in Economics and Business from Sciences Po. She speaks English, French and Spanish.
