James Leaton is a SVP - Environment, Social & Governance. In this capacity, James leads the development of carbon transition analysis of companies in high impact sectors. James brings expertise across environmental issues, especially climate change risk, which he applies to the integration of environmental risk into credit analysis.
Prior to joining Moody’s. James was previously Research Director at Carbon Tracker - a boutique research house - where he led a team producing thematic energy research combining elements of climate change scenarios with financial analysis. James was lead author of a series of research which sparked investor interest in the concept of stranded assets, and led to a number of investor initiatives on carbon asset risk. James also advised blue-chip clients on climate change and sustainability strategy whilst a consultant at PwC and was a senior policy advisor at WWF, focusing on the biodiversity impact of extractive industries.
James holds a Masters degree in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, University of London.
Myriam Durand is Global Head of the Corporate Finance Group (CFG) for Moody’s Ratings, overseeing the development of rating opinions and research on corporates worldwide.
Before this, Myriam served as Global Head of MIS Assessments (MISA). She supported its creation and built the assets, capabilities and talent for thought leadership and strategic vision for the group, including overseeing the majority investments in Vigeo Eiris and 427. MISA’s mission was to develop risk assessment offerings beyond credit ratings with primary focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG).
Previously, she led CFG in EMEA and also spearheaded MIS’s ESG efforts in the EMEA region, helping to incorporate ESG risks into credit analysis, and representing MIS at COP21 and COP23. Myriam has also been MIS Country Manager for France since 2015, overseeing MIS’s activities in the country.
Allan Jorgensen is Head of the OECD Centre for Responsible Business Conduct and leads the work of the OECD to develop and promote global standards for responsible business through international cooperation, public policy development and global supply chains.
Allan has two decades of experience working on sustainable business and finance in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining the OECD he was Head of Sustainable Trade at global logistics giant A.P. Moller-Maersk where he led the company's work on inclusive trade and responsible business practices. Prior to this, he served as Head of Human Rights and Business at the Danish Institute for Human Rights, working with multinationals, governments, multilateral bodies and civil society organisations to promote responsible and sustainable business. He served for a number of years on the sustainability advisory board of the Investment Fund for Developing Countries.
A Danish national, Mr. Jorgensen holds degrees in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen (Denmark) and in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK).
Sven Reinke is a Managing Director in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Sven is responsible for a team on London-based Lead Analysts covering Commodities, TMT and Business and Consumer Services sectors. Sven joined Moody’s in the autumn of 2013 with 12 years’ experience in a number of different corporate credit roles. During his first nine years at Moody’s, Sven was a Lead Analyst covering a number of different corporate sectors.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Sven spent six years as a Senior Corporate Credit Officer at UBS Investment Bank in London responsible for the credit risk management of a portfolio of corporates in different industries. Before joining UBS, Sven was the Lead Credit Analyst for Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi’s German and Benelux blue chip counterparties. At the start of his career, Sven spent four years as a Credit Analyst at Deutsche Bank’s German mid-cap credit risk department.
Sven has a Masters Degree in Economics with focus on finance and banking from The Berlin School of Economics and Law. Sven also passed all levels of the CFA Program.
Michael Levesque is a Senior Vice President in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. He joined Moody’s in 1998 and has had responsibility in the credit analysis for a variety of healthcare companies including drug manufacturers, drug distributors, medical device companies, managed care companies, health insurers, healthcare providers, and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). Michael is currently responsible as the lead analyst covering major pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Michael worked for over 7 years as a healthcare actuary, serving in consulting positions at William M. Mercer, Inc. and at KMPG Peat Marwick, where he performed actuarial, employee benefits, and healthcare consulting services.
Michael received a B.S. in operations research from Cornell University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst, as well as a member of the Association for Investment Management and the New York Society of Security Analysts.
Ben Nelson is Vice President - Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. He is responsible for a portfolio of investment-grade and speculative-grade chemical companies. Over the past decade with the firm he has held lead analyst responsibility in auto parts, general manufacturing, metals & mining, paper & forest products, steel, and services. He has non-portfolio responsibility in campus recruiting, summer internship program, new hire and associate training program, and is a member of the CFG’s Global Professional Development and Training Council. Ben graduated summa cum laude with degrees in business administration and history from Westminster College and joined Westminster’s Board of Trustees in 2015.
Barbara Mattos is a Senior Vice President in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group in São Paulo, Brazil, leading the credit analysis and rating process for a diversified portfolio of Basic Industries companies, including mining, steel, pulp & paper and a few industrials in South America.
Prior to joining Moody’s in 2011, Barbara worked at FRAM Capital as an equity research analyst and at ABN Amro Bank in the strategic planning/investor relations team. She also worked for Wintershall AG and Cambridge Energy Research Associates in Cambridge, MA.
Barbara received both her bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in accounting from Fundação Getulio Vargas in Brazill. She holds an MBA from the Yale Graduate School of Management in New Haven, CT. Barbara is a CFA Charterholder
Frederic Duranson is a lead analyst in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, based in London.
Frederic joined Moody’s in 2010 and currently covers a portfolio of leveraged credits, with particular focus on the software and IT services sector in Western Europe. Previously, he has covered a variety of investment grade and speculative grade credits, spanning several sectors.
Frederic graduated from Sciences Po Strasbourg in France and holds an MSc in Corporate Strategy and Finance. His previous experience includes a number of internships in the U.S. and South Africa.
Frederic is fluent in French and English and is proficient in Spanish.
