Piotr Janczak serves as the Moody’s Ratings' Country Manager, Poland. Based in Warsaw, he leads the rating agency’s operations in Poland and and coordinates the commercial activities of Moody’s across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Mr. Janczak graduated from the Foreign Trade Faculty of the Warsaw School of Economics. He has more than 25 years’ experience in equity as well as debt capital markets and loans across CEE. He joined Moody’s Investors Service in 2015 from Erste Group Bank AG, where he had been a director at the Merchant Banking division, based in Prague and covering CEE. Prior to that, Mr. Janczak served as a Director of Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank group in Warsaw.
Alexis joined the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) of Moody’s Investors Service in 2007 and has broad experience in covering a wide range of banks and other financial institutions in terms of both geography, business and ownership profile encompassing Moody’s entire rating scale. He is currently the lead analyst for banks operating in Bulgaria, Croatia, Israel and Qatar, while in the past he covered several other banks and nonbanking financial companies in the Nordics, South Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and the Middle East - Gulf regions.
Alexis has an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School (UK) and an MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with Management from Imperial College (UK).
| Alexander Zeidler is a Vice President - Senior Credit Officer at Moody’s in London. He coordinates Moody’s efforts in the Nordic covered bond markets Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and in the Baltic countries. Furthermore, he is responsible for a portfolio of covered bond programmes in Norway and Switzerland and was previously leading the analysis of the covered bond markets in Austria and Luxembourg. As a senior member of the analytical team, Alexander has coordinated and contributed to a number of publications and regularly speaks at investor and industry conferences. Prior to joining Moody’s EMEA Covered Bonds team in 2010, Alexander was responsible for a portfolio of CMBS transactions in the UK, France, the Netherlands and Germany for four years. Alexander started his career in commercial real estate finance, working for overten years as an underwriter, credit auditor and corporate analyst at UniCredit in Germany. Alexander also holds a MBA from a Fulbright program sponsored by the U.S. government at the University of Louisville, U.S.A. Moody’s has a leading global covered bond franchise, rating some US$2 trillion worth of covered bonds securities, which represents more than 80% of all public bonds issued globally in the sector. Stanislav rejoined Moody’s in November 2012 and has since been working in EMEA structured finance group. Since 2019 he is in covered bond team responsible for covered bond programmes in Germany, Austria and CEE markets.
Prior to joining covered bond team, he was responsible for analyzing and rating RMBS and ABS transactions with focus on CIS (mainly Russian) and Dutch RMBS markets. Stanislav had already been on Moody’s Frankfurt RMBS team from February 2007 to September 2010.
Earlier in his career, from 2004 to 2007, Stanislav worked as Audit Senior at KPMG in Frankfurt. From October 2010 to October 2012, he worked as Business Advisor at BearingPoint GmbH, in the department Banking Operations and Applications.
Stanislav holds BSc degree in business administration from the Siberian State Aerospace University (Russia), Master degree in international economic relations and PhD in political economy from the University of Konstanz (Germany). He is trilingual, fluently speaking English, German and Russian.
Richard Kemmish is an independent consultant, a large part of his work is to help countries develop covered bond laws and issuers to use them. In addition he has assisted the European Commission in the development of the covered bond directive and in their analysis of the potential for European Secured Notes. He also works closely with the European Covered Bond Council, Euromoney Conferences and Finance Unlocked to help the development of the covered bond market globally.

Edin Karakaš graduated with honours from the University of Zagreb where he received a special Chancellor’s Award. During the graduate studies he participated in Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot winning the Werner Melis Award for the best memorandum.
Edin first joined Žurić i Partneri in September 2003 In September 2006 he started working in Essex Court Chambers, London, UK and at the same time read for LL.M. at King’s College London. He re-joined Žurić i Partneri in 2008 and has since represented parties in arbitration and other dispute resolution matters, worked on a number of major cross-border financing transactions and other commercial matters. He also participated in several projects in energy sector and advised clients on telecommunications law. Edin acts as a judge in two international moot court competitions.
Current position: Director general, Bank supervision department
Supports the activities of different directorates of the bank supervision department in the process of close cooperation” with the European central bank. Participate in the activities of Single Supervisory Mechanism. Controls and supports the process of preparation of different analytical supervisory products.

Between 1997-20197 as a director Off-site supervision, director Macro-prudential Analysis and Strategy, director Macro-prudential supervision and financial stability was responsible for analysis of main risks in banking system, creation of early warning indicators for proper macro prudential reaction, participation in determining and implementation of macro prudential instruments, participation in analyses of financial stability issues, preparation and implementation of regular stress-testing of Bulgarian banks and banking system.

Jacek Kubas is an Associate Director in the London office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, working in the EBRD’s Capital Markets Development Team and heading up the Innovation sub-team with a focus on green capital markets and FinTech. Jacek specialises in debt capital markets (big focus on covered bonds); derivatives and sustainable finance - including legal and regulatory. Jacek worked on covered bonds reforms in Poland, Romania, Estonia, Latvia and Slovakia that resulted in a billion EUR investment in covered bonds and is currently leading covered bonds reforms in Bulgaria, Latvia, Croatia and Ukraine. Jacek works on Fintech and Innovation, including in Baltics, Greece and Poland; and Sustainable Finance in the Baltics, Hungary and Poland. At EBRD, Jacek also worked as an Adviser to the President of EBRD with a strong focus on a strategy and business development and in the Office of the General Counsel.
Jacek is a New York Qualified Attorney. Graduated from the University of Gdansk School of Law, obtained an LL.M. in Financial Services from Chicago Kent College of Law and a postgraduate degree in International Trade from the European Institute of University Studies in Turin, Italy. He is an alumnus of the Leadership Academy at the Chatham House in London; outside office CrossFit, Tennis, Yoga, and start-ups, are passion.
