Ted leads Moody’s Analytics Financial Crime Compliance industry practice in Europe, Africa & Americas. He has spent the last decade helping organisations harness data and technology to improve their risk-based approach to customer and third-party due diligence. Teds’ practise group drives innovation in Moody’s product strategy and helps their customers make better, faster decisions the era of exponential risk.
Ted is a regular contributor to global anti-corruption forums and an active supporter of public-private collaboration initiatives. He was a member of the winning team at the FCA’s Global AML and Financial Crime TechSprint addressing beneficial ownership registry reconciliation for the benefit of all market participants. He is also a founding member of the DT4C (Data & Technology for Compliance) industry alliance, a collective advocacy group working to ensure regulated entities have the data they need to combat financial crime.
Ted holds ACAMS certification and a Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention from the International Compliance Association.
Currently, Jill is a Financial Crime Compliance Practice Lead for Moody’s Analytics in the KYC Solutioning division. Before joining Moody’s, she was with JPMorgan Chase for 11 years and held various positions in branch banking, alternative investments, and KYC/AML operations. In her last role at JPMorgan, she managed a global KYC operations team of 40 people, focused on beneficial ownership requirements and the FinCEN CDD Rule. Jill is passionate about Texas A&M and all things college football
Johanna leads the Kompany team within Moody’s Analytics’ KYC Operating Unit. Kompany provides real-time, primary source entity information for KYB and business verification purposes. Furthermore, she is currently working on the development of integrated KYB solutions combining high-value company information from different, proprietary sources with risk data and relevant indicators such as ESG scores to further enable the automation and digitalization of compliance processes.
Johanna has spent the last 10+ years in the legal and compliance space. Previously, she worked in different product, commercial and strategy functions within the mobile communications industry.
She holds an MBA from Oxford’s SAID Business School and an MSc from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
Michele Riccardi is Deputy Director and Senior Researcher at Transcrime and Adjunct Professor of Financial and Business information analysis at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and of Risk Assessment Methods at the University of Palermo. He is also teaching Money laundering and Developing Countries at the ASERI – Alta Scuola di Economia e Relazioni Internazionali. His research focuses mainly on organised crime, money laundering, financial crime. In this domain, he has coordinated or contributed to numerous research projects, at national and international level, and has authored numerous publications. He is member of the ARO – Asset Recovery Office of the European Commission, of the Experts group of the EU Supranational money laundering risk assessment (SNRA) and of the Italian National ML risk assessment (NRA). He is member of the UN working group in the measurement of illicit financial flows (SDG 16.4). He has been consulted by FATF/GAFI and World Bank on money laundering and risk assessment initiatives. He holds a PhD in Criminology, a MSc in Accounting and Financial Economics (with Distinction) at the University of Essex (UK) and a MA in International Relations (Cum Laude) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Italy). He is co-founder of Crime&tech, spin-off of Transcrime-Università Cattolica.
