Wendy Cheong Managing Director – Regional Head of Asia Pacific Moody's Investors Service

Wendy Cheong is a senior management and strategy professional with over 22 years of experience in leading and transforming international business operations.

She is currently Managing Director-Regional Head of Asia Pacific for Moody’s Investors Service (MIS), based in Hong Kong. In this role, Wendy develops and leads Moody’s growth strategy in both developed and emerging markets in the region. Wendy is the senior representative for Moody’s in Asia Pacific and is responsible for managing regional operations, overseeing policy and regulatory outreach, coordinating Moody’s global initiatives, and providing oversight of affiliates, joint ventures and MIS domestic market strategies in the region.

Wendy joined Moody's in 2010 as an Assistant Director at Content Strategy in Moody’s Analytics, and has since held senior positions in strategy and management roles across business lines in Hong Kong and New York to build strategic vision, drive business growth and enhance market impact. She has served as Chief of Staff to the President of Moody’s Investors Service; Representative Director for MIS in Hong Kong, while also serving as Senior Vice President – Head of APAC Strategy & Business Management; and Director and Senior Product Strategist at Moody’s Analytics. Wendy sits as a Director on the boards of a majority of Moody’s Asia entities and affiliates in the region.

Wendy is a member of Moody’s Global Diversity Council and founded the Moody’s Women’s Employee Resource Group in Asia Pacific. She held leadership roles in several external women in finance organizations, including 100 Women in Finance and the Women in Finance Association of the Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA). She is currently a member of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN), a leading network of over 600 organizations across 34 countries that mobilizes capital for impact investing.

Frank Medrisch Vice President - Senior Analyst Moody's Investors Service

Frank Medrisch, CFA is Vice President - Senior Analyst within the ESG team, based out of London. He specializes in the credit implications of the energy transition for multiple sectors, climate change mitigation policy, and emerging decarbonisation technologies. Frank plays a key role in the development of Moody’s Carbon Transition Assessment (CTA) scores, a suite of analytical frameworks and tools designed to measure the carbon transition risk exposure for energy-intensive rated issuers. He also participates, presents, and moderates in Moody’s events and webinars, as well as external outreach meetings and working groups. Prior to his current role, he spent six years as a lead analyst within the Structured Finance Group, covering Latin American and European consumer securitizations from the Buenos Aires and the London office. Before joining Moody’s in 2015, Frank worked for five years in corporate finance credit ratings and equity/fixed income research in Argentina and Chile. Wan Hee Yoo is a Vice President - Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, based in Hong Kong. He covers a portfolio of Korean corporates across a diverse range of industries.

Before joining Moody’s, Wan Hee worked for three and half years with Citigroup’s Capital Markets Origination / Ratings Advisory team, covering Korean corporates. Prior to this, Wan Hee worked as a credit analyst at Fitch Ratings and Nice Ratings, both based in Seoul, acting as a lead analyst for Korean corporates.

Mariko Semetko is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer at Moody’s Investors Service. Currently based in Tokyo, she is responsible as the lead analyst covering Japanese corporate finance companies, including the shipping, automotive and

telecommunications sectors. Throughout her career at Moody’s, she has covered a wide range of sectors including power and gas utilities, rails, oil and gas, retail, apparel, beverage, tobacco, packaged goods, durables and manufacturing, among others, both in the

U.S. and Japan. She has extensive experience both in the investment grade and high yield spaces. Mariko transferred to the Tokyo office in 2013 after working in the New York office for seven years. Boris Kan is a Vice President–Senior Credit Officer with the Project & Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Hong Kong, Boris covers a portfolio of Chinese utilities and infrastructure companies across a range of sectors.

Before joining Moody’s, Boris was the Head of Regional Utilities & Power Equipment (Asia-ex-Japan) with J.P. Morgan’s Equity Research team, where he spent more than 12 years covering a wide range of power and gas utilities companies in Greater China.

Boris has also worked as a Senior Associate for more than five years — first at PricewaterhouseCoppers and then at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance — providing assurance and M&A advisory services to corporate clients in Greater China.

Boris holds an MBA majoring in Finance from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining Moody’s, Mike worked in the US and China and held analytical and portfolio management roles with banks. Based out of Singapore, Rahul Sheth is an Executive Director in Standard Chartered’s Capital Markets Team. In his role, he globally heads the Sustainable Bonds product and has been responsible for leading pioneering and award-winning green, social and sustainability bond transactions for clients across the bank’s footprint.

With 14 years of banking experience spanning Debt Capital Markets and broader financial markets, he has held senior roles across origination and structuring and client advisory. In his current role, he advises governments, supra national entities, corporates and FIs on setting up Sustainable finance frameworks to enable access to ESG focused investors, across a wide range of capital markets products including green, social, sustainability, sustainability Linked and Transition bonds.

Omar Slim, CFA Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income PineBridge Investments, Singapore

Mr. Slim is a Portfolio Manager within the Asian Fixed Income team, responsible for managing funds invested in global and Asian credit, rates and FX markets and a Board member of PineBridge Investments Singapore Limited.

Prior to joining PineBridge in 2013, Mr. Slim was a Senior Portfolio Manager within Asian Fixed Income at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) in Singapore. He started there as a Credit Analyst for Global Active Fixed Income in Canada, before being promoted to Senior Portfolio Manager to manage a team investing in the North American credit markets. In his most recent Singapore-based SSGA role, Mr. Slim led the development of the Asian credit investment process in Asia, helped build up their credit coverage and managed local and hard currency Asian Fixed Income portfolios. He also participated in a number of government sponsored policy initiatives to develop and enhance the Asian bond markets. Juliette Macresy Senior Director – Head of APAC sales Moody’s ESG Solutions

Juliette Macresy is Senior Director, Head of Asia sales at  Moody’s ESG Solutions. She worked at VE since 1997 based in Hong Kong. As the Head of Greater China and South East Asian markets, she covered the region for both investors and issuers on sustainable finance transactions and its derivatives. In September 2020 she became a member of the Executive Committee of VE and took the global responsibility of the issuer team expanding MESG footprint in the sustainable finance markets in key regions North America, LATAM, EMEA and APAC.

In 2021, Juliette has won the award for ‘Excellence in Sustainability’ at Women in Finance Asia Awards. The ceremony’s judging panel recognized Juliette as a driving force for the APAC region’s sustainability agenda, commending her work in bringing greater transparency to green, social and sustainability bond markets and advancing diversity in the financial services sector.

Holding a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Dauphine University (France), Juliette has been working in financial markets in London and Paris for almost twenty years. She started her career in major French banks as a credit analyst before joining Moody’s Investors Services in London as a credit analyst. Then, she moved to fixed income positions within Natixis in Paris and Hong Kong.

Juliette is a CFA charter holder since 2003.

Dimitrios Papanastasiou Senior Director, Head of Industry Practice Group Moody’s Analytics

Dimitrios is the Head of the Industry Practice Group in Moody’s Analytics, leading the Asia & Middle East Subject Matter Expert teams helping institutions in the broad areas of Enterprise-wide Risk Management, Risk Analytics, Stress Testing and ESG & Climate risk. Over the last few years, his teams have been focusing increasingly more on guiding banks and financial institutions in their sustainability journey. Particular areas of focus include the quantification of climate risk impact on credit risk, regulatory climate stress testing exercises, and incorporation of ESG & Climate Risk into an institution’s risk management framework.

During his time in Moody’s and prior to his move to Asia, Dimitrios led the efforts on designing and successfully implementing IFRS 9 modelling and software solutions for more than 50 banks in Europe and Middle East. Prior to joining Moody’s in January 2016, Dimitrios worked as Senior Technical Specialist at the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) in London. During that time, he led the internal stress testing model development across the majority of risk types, with a particular focus on wholesale credit risk globally, retail credit risk in the UK and econometric models for key ALM risk metrics. Before joining the PRA, he was part of UBS Group-wide Stress Testing Team where he developed stress testing models for the held to maturity assets of the investment banking arm. Prior to his time at UBS he held various modelling positions at the former Financial Services Authority (FSA), Lloyd’s Banking Group and HBOS.

Dimitrios holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh Business School and an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is a certified Professional Risk Manager (PRM) since 2006 and tutored at University of Edinburgh where he has conducted extensive research on credit risk modelling and the interaction between credit risk and the real economy.

FRANKIE PHUA is the Managing Director and Head of Group Risk Management at UOB. In this role, he oversees all risk management matters for UOB Group including credit risk, market risk, balance sheet risk, operational risk and model validation. Prior to joining UOB Risk Management, Frankie spent more than 10 years in the frontline in Corporate/Commercial banking. Over the past 20-plus years in his career with UOB, Frankie has developed expertise in areas such as credit risk modelling, counterparty credit risk, economic capital, stress testing, credit portfolio optimization and country risk management. From 2004 to 2006, he was the Basel II Project Coordinator for UOB, where he led the Group’s Basel II Internal Rating-Based implementation and obtaining approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to adopt the Internal Rating-Based Approach (IRBA) for credit risk with effect from 1 Jan 2008.

Frankie, a seasoned credit risk practitioner, is an active contributor to the risk management community. Boris Kan Vice President – Senior Credit Officer, Project & Infrastructure Finance Moody's Investors Service

Boris Kan is a Vice President–Senior Credit Officer with the Project & Infrastructure Finance Group. Based in Hong Kong, Boris covers a portfolio of Chinese utilities and infrastructure companies across a range of sectors.

Before joining Moody’s, Boris was the Head of Regional Utilities & Power Equipment (Asia-ex-Japan) with J.P. Morgan’s Equity Research team, where he spent more than 12 years covering a wide range of power and gas utilities companies in Greater China.

Boris has also worked as a Senior Associate for more than five years — first at PricewaterhouseCoppers and then at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance — providing assurance and M&A advisory services to corporate clients in Greater China.

Boris holds an MBA majoring in Finance from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Kai Hu Senior Vice President Moody's Investors Service

Kai Hu is a Senior Vice President in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group, based in Shanghai. He covers a portfolio of large Chinese state-owned enterprises.

Before joining Moody’s, Kai worked in credit risk management, trade finance and project finance at various financial institutions, including Citigroup and China Merchants Bank in New York and Bank of Communications, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank in Shanghai.

Kai holds an MBA from Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade. He is also a CFA, FRM and a member of Chinese CPA association.

Gerwin Ho Vice President, Senior Credit Officer Moody's Investors Service

Gerwin Ho is a Vice President–Senior Credit Officer with the Corporate Finance Group in Asia. Based in Hong Kong, he covers a portfolio of Chinese corporates, including automotive-related, manufacturing and consumer-related companies.

Before joining Moody’s, Gerwin was a Director with Citigroup’s Equity Research Division in Hong Kong, where he headed the analysis of automotive companies in Asia and analyzed Chinese automotive and industrial companies.He has also analyzed automotive, industrial, consumer and healthcare companies in China and Korea while working at Bear Stearns, ABN AMRO, Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Mike Zhu Vice President – Senior Analyst, Corporate Finance Group Moody's Investors Service

Mike Zhu is a Vice President and Senior Analyst in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group. Based in Beijing, Mike supports the ratings and research on Chinese central and local state-owned enterprises across various industries.

Before joining Moody’s, Mike worked in the US and China and held analytical and portfolio management roles with banks. He covered corporates in a wide range of sectors, including oil and gas, healthcare, and manufacturing in the US, and his most recent role was with the credit department of Societe Generale Bank, where he focused on Chinese conglomerates.

Mike holds a BA from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dimitrios Papanastasiou Senior Director, Head of Industry Practice Group Moody’s Analytics

Dimitrios is the Head of the Industry Practice Group in Moody’s Analytics, leading the Asia & Middle East Subject Matter Expert teams helping institutions in the broad areas of Enterprise-wide Risk Management, Risk Analytics, Stress Testing and ESG & Climate risk. Over the last few years, his teams have been focusing increasingly more on guiding banks and financial institutions in their sustainability journey. Particular areas of focus include the quantification of climate risk impact on credit risk, regulatory climate stress testing exercises, and incorporation of ESG & Climate Risk into an institution’s risk management framework.

During his time in Moody’s and prior to his move to Asia, Dimitrios led the efforts on designing and successfully implementing IFRS 9 modelling and software solutions for more than 50 banks in Europe and Middle East. Prior to joining Moody’s in January 2016, Dimitrios worked as Senior Technical Specialist at the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) in London. During that time, he led the internal stress testing model development across the majority of risk types, with a particular focus on wholesale credit risk globally, retail credit risk in the UK and econometric models for key ALM risk metrics. Before joining the PRA, he was part of UBS Group-wide Stress Testing Team where he developed stress testing models for the held to maturity assets of the investment banking arm. Prior to his time at UBS he held various modelling positions at the former Financial Services Authority (FSA), Lloyd’s Banking Group and HBOS.

Dimitrios holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh Business School and an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is a certified Professional Risk Manager (PRM) since 2006 and tutored at University of Edinburgh where he has conducted extensive research on credit risk modelling and the interaction between credit risk and the real economy.
