James is an Industry Practice Lead in the Global Risk Solutions Practice, specializing in credit and climate risk analytics. He is responsible for solutions in credit, climate and ESG that relate to scoring, loss accounting, stress testing, and portfolio management in the Americas, Europe and Africa. James regularly contributes thought leadership in a variety of media including white papers and podcasts. James earned a PhD in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
Eduardo Schiappa-Pietra is a Peruvian economist with 5 years of experience in credit risk, quantitative modeling, and financial regulation. He holds a Master of Science in Economics and Computer Science from Duke University and is a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship. Before joining Moody’s, he worked as an economist in the Peruvian Financial Stability Authority conducting applied research on macro-prudential policy and as part of the team responsible for implementing Basel III standards on banking regulation in Peru.
